Title

Exercises

Purpose

Search the exercise collection. Exercises are the building blocks of training sessions.

Features

  • Search: Search by exercise title using the search bar.
  • Filters:
    • Categories: Filter by categories such as Technique, Tactics and Fitness.
    • Tags: Filter by more specific characteristics, such as #warming-up and #keeper.
  • Results: Immediately see how many exercises match the search and filters.
  • Details: Click a card to open the full exercise in the viewer.
  • Errors: A message appears if exercises cannot load, with a fallback to stored exercises.

Notes

  • Previously loaded exercises: These may appear while the app fetches the current list. This is different from deliberately saving exercises offline.
  • Access indication: Each card shows the access level where applicable.
  • Complete list: The app automatically fetches every results page, so exercises beyond the first page are included.

Viewing an exercise in the Portal

The complete field is shown at a compact height. Use Enlarge field for more space and Compact field to return. Playback controls appear for a timeline with actions; a setup without actions has no play button. An unspecified duration is omitted. Available notes, categories and tags appear beside or below the field.

Approved exercise versions

When the approved exercise library is available, you can view outdoor and indoor exercises with Dutch and English instructions and animation steps. Original designs identify background principles separately from original exercise sources. Source links and creators remain visible.

Choose New exercise in the overview and enter the title and creator. Your draft opens in the editor and appears under My exercises.

Under Starting setup, enter the counts for Team A, Team B and the equipment. Set Team B to zero for a single-group exercise. Players and equipment appear on the field, where you can move them. Players used by the animation stay in place. Use one match ball and add spare balls as groups.

Use the search bar and filters to find exercises. Open the viewer with the eye icon and save favorites with the heart. Where the exercise allows it, the copy icon creates your own editable draft. The original is read-only.

In the session editor, you can add an approved version to a block. The selected version and attribution remain with the session when the original exercise changes. An explicitly saved offline version contains both languages and source credits; the external source page itself is not downloaded for offline use.

Drafts are available only to administrators. Saving a draft does not publish it. Availability of this extension may differ between environments.

Rate a public exercise

Choose Useful or Needs improvement on a published exercise. For Needs improvement, you can optionally choose unclear instructions, incorrect animation, difficulty or other. Click the selected thumb again to remove your vote, or choose the other thumb to change it.

Feedback belongs to the version shown; a new publication receives its own feedback. Dutch and English votes count together. Signed-in votes count once per account; otherwise they count once per browser. Clearing browser data or using another browser can allow another vote. No IP address is stored with your vote. Feedback is separate from favorites and approval for publication.

Exercises and formations

An exercise can link to a formation and a standard position. It is not locked to one formation version: formation guidance and layout can be updated independently. A public link still requires the position to exist in the public coaching guidance for the matching hockey variant. When multiple positions share a role, the intended position must be unambiguous.

A selected exercise version in a training session or permitted offline copy retains its own explanation, creator and sources. Updating a formation does not change that exercise version. Exercises and formation guidance are published separately.

Use the visibility dropdown to choose Only me, My club or Public, where available. Before making an exercise public, confirm that you have permission to share it. Public contributions show the creator credit and appear without prior editorial review. A more restrictive choice replaces the previous visibility.
